Two things worth noticing in that table. The $1 offers are on the cheaper tiers, not Ultimate, which is the one most people want to try. And the Premium offer is 14 days, not a month.
The Trap: It Converts Automatically
Every introductory offer rolls into a paid subscription at the standard rate on the day it ends. This is normal, disclosed, and still the single most common way people end up paying for a month they did not intend to use.
The fix takes one minute and does not shorten your trial:
- Redeem the offer and start playing.
- Go straight to account.microsoft.com/services.
- Find Game Pass, select Manage, then Turn off recurring billing.
